How It Works
01 - Inquire
Tell me your due date, location, and which placenta services you’re interested in. I’ll confirm my availability.
02 - Prepare
Once you’re booked, I’ll give you instructions on preparing and storing your placenta after birth.
03 - Pickup + processing
I’ll pick up your placenta within my service area and bring it home for processing. It will be lovingly turned into your selected items.
04 - Delivery
Once your items are ready, I'll arrange delivery back to you.
Why Encapsulate your placenta?
Many women choose to encapsulate their placenta as part of their postpartum care. Placenta contains iron, protein, hormones, and other nutrients, and consuming it after birth is a practice that has been used across cultures and generations.
Women who choose placenta encapsulation often do so because they want to support their postpartum recovery, replenish nutrients after birth, and incorporate their placenta into their transition into motherhood.
Placenta encapsulation isn't a medical treatment, but for many women, it is a meaningful part of preparing for postpartum.

Let your birth team know before your baby is born that you plan to keep your placenta. It’s your right to do so. You can ask them about policies or necessary paper work. Once your placenta is released to you, you’ll need to keep it properly chilled until I can pick it up.

Please let me know when your labor begins or when you head into the hospital or birth center. This gives me time to arrange to come get your placenta soon after delivery. Then let me know when you’re ready for me to come get it.

There isn't a strict deadline for encapsulation. Your placenta can be frozen after birth and processed later if immediate pickup isn't possible. That said, if you plan to use your capsules during the early postpartum period, it's best to arrange pickup and processing as soon as reasonably possible.

Once you’ve booked, I'll send you all the information you need about preparing your placenta for pick up including how to properly store your placenta after birth.

Your capsules will be ready within 5 days of me receiving your placenta. I’ll keep you updated through the process and arrange delivery as soon as they are ready.

Yes! If your placenta needs to be frozen after birth, it can be thawed to make your capsules or keepsake items. Even a placenta from years ago can be turned into keepsakes.

Absolutely! Placenta prints and cord keepsakes are available as standalone services or can be added to encapsulation or doula services.
